The Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) is now in its fifth year of science operations. To mark the anniversary, the European Space Agency  (ESA) and NASA are sponsoring a world-wide celebration with talks and events planned for Friday, April 27, 2001. Other talks for the anniversary will take place throughout the period April 22-30, 2001. The talks are suitable for general audiences. Talks being given by scientists associated with the Ultraviolet Coronagraph Spectrometer (UVCS), which is one of the instruments on SOHO, are listed below.

SOHO is a project of international cooperation between ESA and NASA. UVCS is a collaborative scientific investigation of the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO), the University of Florence and other scientific organizations in Italy and Switzerland.
