It is believed that the slow solar wind comes from the narrow open magnetic field regions on streamer boundaries. However, the outflow velocities of plasmas at the streamer cusps have been found to be almost zero. Certain solar wind models predict that the plasmas may suffer a deceleration before they reach the streamer cusps. The observation is aimed to investigate if this deceleration exists. Roll positions are VL-corrected.
