The decision was made to place UVCS into a soft safe configuration although proton flux had not reached a level where UVCS would normally safe. This was due to a gap in DSN coverage. Proton flux was still increasing at the time the decision was made to safe. OVI detector High Voltage is turned on and ramped up, UVCS is configured for resumption of science.
