UVCS Instrument Calibration & Co-registration Working Group

Scientific Purpose:

1. To develop, assess and maintain a data base of instrument properties and characteristics such as:
   • Radiometric efficiencies
   • Detector flat-fields
   • Detector dark-rates
   • Spectral and spatial resolutions
   • Vignetting functions
   • Mechanism calibrations
   • Co-registration of UVCS with other SOHO instruments
2. To distribute to the UVCS community revisions of instrument properties as necessary to maintain the accuracy and validity of scientific conclusions.
3. To recommend measurement methods and observations for the improvement of the instrument calibration data base.
