What Makes a Good Proposal?

Here are 3 keys to submitting a successful proposal to become a MicroObservatory Guest Observer.

1. Gain familiarity with the capabilities of the telescopes.

Before filling out the proposal form, take some time to look around the MicroObservatory web site, especially the "About Us" page, the "User's Guide" and the "Image Archive." This information will help you propose projects and observations that are realistic.

2. Tell us about your current courses, and how you will use the telescopes to enhance students' skills and understanding of science concepts.

We are particular interested in how you will integrate the telescopes into your physical science curriculum, and also in how you will guide students' projects with the telescopes.

3. If you are a previous MicroObservatory user, tell us about your prior experience in the "anything to add" text box. It's important for us to learn from your experience!
