Research Interests

My primary research interests center around understanding the origin and early evolution of stars and planets and the cold molecular clouds which spawn them. I am an observational astronomer and use observations at millimeter-wave, infrared and optical wavelengths to investigate the natural physical processes which give rise to stars and planets in our galaxy.

THE BLACK CLOUD BARNARD 68. This a prime example of a cold molecular cloud within which stars and planets can potentially form. However as of yet no stars have formed in this truly dark globule.
